  • Rebuilding the commons, things have changed since we started, but we still have not figured it out
  • The ongoing challenge of social media in the public commons

  • What is the problem we are trying to solve it seems it is more like we are trying to still replace email
  • Signal, Whatsapp and Telegram replacing social media seems we want the immediate communication and secure and accessible instead
  • Facebook is becoming a newsfeed, a don’t tag people and let them decide, privacy is being grasped

  • Do we want Cyberunions to be more of a role of advising and research for unions and develop a transition process
  • One example is a group in Mexico called Sursiendo that developed an adaptation and adoption plan to free and open source software
  • Should we open a facebook group for cyberunions as general outreach and awareness as people are there and we could use it as just a news outlet feed come to https://telegram.me/cyberunions
  • Not to endorse the Facebook game and we want to pull people away there are a lot of leftist groups that have developed strength from there
